OK, now that John has given his answer I feel safe in giving my opinion. Tiger wins because of what he did 25 years ago. When other kids were playing with whatever kids played with in those days, Tiger was playing golf. Practicing golf. Living golf. Being golf. Hogan before a driver's license. And he learned how to WIN. He won at the junior level. He won at the high school level. He won at the college level. He learned how to win at every level. UNLIKE Michelle Wie who is trying to make her mark with men before she LEARNS how to WIN. God love Michelle Wie. She's something special. But please, somebody show her the correct road. Let her learn how to WIN. Tiger learned how to win early. And it doesn't hurt to have all the tools. Tiger doesn't need to learn TGM. He had TGM, he leaned how to WIN early.

Tiger Patches
Not sure if it was a rerun...TGC had a segment with Gary Player who analyzed Tiger's top of the swing and impact positions with his driver side by side with Ben Hogan. Gary Player thinks that Tiger's "problems" are a flat left wrist (versus Ben's cupped left wrist) at the top of the swing and a right elbow that is too far away from his body at impact. If Tiger were to work on these two things his driver accuracy would improve and he would become unbeatable...according to Gary Player. Doesn't sound too TGM compliant.

I haven't seen all the Hogan pics out there....I don't have any of the books, etc...

So I could be ignorant (hence, an IGNORAMUS!) on this...

But is it just me or do people tend to blow the "Hogan had a BENT! l. wrist" thing out of proportion?

I've only seen one pic where it was definitively Bent...

All others are Flat, anatomically Flat (in other words, all kinds of "flat," as they tend to be spoken about)....or just slightly Bent....the smallest amount.

....

I've heard other instructors on different forums say the same thing too, BTW (i.e. it wasn't so Bent after all).
