Tryin to look like Hogan....."Position Golf"....

Pretty Good.....I might say...

Wonder what he would do if he tried to imitate the swing of Tiger Woods?

Woods vs Hogan Career Stats
Hogan vs. Woods

  • PGA Victories- 64 vs 50
  • Majors- 9 vs 11
  • Yearly Win Leader, yrs- 5 vs 7 (5 consecutive)
  • Scoring Avg Leader,yrs- 3* vs 6
*includes 2yrs Vardon Trophy Point winner

In 3 years it will be a clean sweep on all these stats.
Not bad for 10 years of work.

Tiger'sFollow Thru
He is trying to make sure that his right wrist uncocks thru impact and maintain it in follow thru and finish.
Hank Haney told us that at the Australian Teaching Summit. This is how Hank teaches hinge action or as he calls it release.

That explains all the errant shots.

Too bad golf doesn't have a common language...

Shanks
If all the gurus keep coming up with this stuff e.g right wrist uncocking and congruent shaft angles, the golfers will have to go somewhere to have the shanks fixed and therefore might be exposed to the common language.

Have you ever studied Hogan's Swing?

Start with Pics from the Hogan Mystique?

Then some footage?

The read some of the nice posts made by other posters...

Do you think the wrsits need stay "uncocked" for that long..creating a follow-through arc that is that long....

Does the Finish swivel need to occur that late?

Does the re-cocking of the wrists need to be delayed that long?

Does the refolding of the elbows need to be articically created?

Does all the above really matter? you've already hit the ball!!!

Or does it affect other variables that occured in the impact to follow-through interval?

Gee ...if I have a high finish does the ball behave the same if I have a low left finish?

No...why is that?..i've already hit the ball..But for some unknown reason is does affect ball flight...Doesn't it!!!!!

Sorry..for the bad attitude

some people ...

Get it...

some people ..

Got it.....

for some people...

That's Good...

For those that don't ...

get it....

Keep searchin...

For those that don't..

Got it....

Here's praying that you will...

For those who get it, got it...well that's GOOD!!!

Cheers!!!

Uncocking the Right Wrist to much....shifts the base line rightward and can cause shanking, blocks and hooks.....Sound Familiar?

I would hope that no-one, not even Haney, teaches anyone to cock his right wrist never mind uncock it during release.

Flipping Nora!
