I started playing 9 years ago, got it down to an 11, and now my lessons tend to focus on the same stuff (I know, fix it and we can move to something else). I am not even sure what I need another lesson for since its a repeat of the same 3-4 things. Maybe I should just use me video camera and try to solve my flaws?
Anyway, ......Build a good set of compensations or try for the model swing?????
Oh,, I do want to get to a 5 handicap.

It's definitely reachable. I would, though first, get over the "hacking" intent. Without doing that, more lessons only get you a better "hacker", who would never be consistent enough to reach your goal.
Then, find a model swing, which literally "loads and sustains the lag" by a pure rotating pivot (no nothing but rotating) acuating a straight lead arm, which, I believe, is the basic/ideal swing Mr. Kelley advocated.
Do like the blade of the helicopter, a flying robot btw, does.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the " LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain ( Yang/陽) the lag ( Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" ( 陰陽合一).
The " LAW" creates the " effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the " cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
" Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.
