Not a good camera angle.
Try getting the camera level with your hands and in line with them.
Looks like your bending the plane line on the follow through-and not getting the finish swivel.
Got to fix the head and bob!
Just like me!
Keep at it,good luck.

Yeah .. offplane and bobbing. However, what really nice is the big improvements in Impact and compressions. ( can you hear the ball Sneezing after it flew off? ) Its amazing to me comming from Duffing the balls and no extensor action at all. Well its just the first official lesson and alot of TGM thoughts in my brain.

But Look Ma ... who i look like? You didn't tell me i got a long lost relative?
some resemblence haha... Not the execution of course .

Blame it on Comdpa if i don't improve in the next few months /emote Hide ...:P

Lots of things to like in your action, Nuke. Judging from the photos above and also your video, you come into Release well, and you hold your Left and Right Wrist alignments well through Impact and into the Finish.

But you are not doing what this fellow in the comparison sequence is doing. Namely, he is Swinging (note the Horizontal Hinge Action of the toe-down-the-Line Clubface at the end of the Follow-Through) and you are Hitting (note the Angled Hinge Action with its Clubface 'angled' across the Line at the same juncture).

Further evidence of that strong Right Arm Action through the Ball can be seen in your video. After your Finish, you completely let go of the Club with the Left Hand and hold it solely in your Right (where it has been controlled all along!). You will often see a TOUR player let go of the club at the Finish, but they will always let go with the Right Hand, not the Left. Even with Hitting, you need a Left Hand control of the Clubhead and the Clubface. Here I am talking about the Left Hand's control of the Clubhead's location in relation to the Plane. I am not referring to the Right Hand's control of the Clubhead's Acceleration (through its Pressure Points).

I recommend you monitor your Finish alignments. Learn to Finish with both Hands firmly in control of the Club -- remember, the Hands are Clamps! -- but if you do let go with one Hand or the other, make sure that you let go with the Right.

A couple more things...

As I've said, I think you are making a fine Hitting Stroke. However, looking at the top of your Backstroke, you have Loaded your Left Wrist for Swinging, not your Right Elbow for Hitting. You must now Drag the Club down (back to Top -- Right Shoulder high -- from End) before you can begin your Hitter's Drive into Impact. I could say a lot more on this, but the bottom line is that you need to shorten your Stroke. Its length simply is not compatible with your Muscular -- not Centrifugal -- Right Arm Drive through the Ball. I think this change will enable you to increase your Right Triceps Drive through Impact and also your Extension into the Follow-Through and Finish.

Finally, I would monitor the Right Foot at the Finish. There is no point to your excessive Roll onto its outside edge. I know that there are TOUR players who do this -- Jeff Ogilvy comes to mind (although not so exaggerated) -- but there really is no reason for this action other than habit. And that habit can be disruptive to Balance. It can also allow too much freedom of the Body to pull the Hands out of their relationship with the Plane Line.

So, go ahead and Finish on your right toe but do not roll your Foot onto its outer edge. Remember, the Heel is ideally 'pulled' off the ground and not 'lifted' off, even into the Finish.

Again, Nuke, you have an excellent foundation upon which to build a truly first-class Golf Stroke. As Homer Kelley would say, "All that is needed is more and more precision in the Component Relationships that make up your Total Motion." You're well on your way now...

Go for it!

And Tom isn't wearing a hat . . .

I really enjoyed reading your analysis Yoda.

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Cause of Bobbing
As you noted, your head drops down dramatically at the start of your downswing. It looks like it is dropping up to 6 inches. If you didn't have this move you would miss the ball completely. You do a great job of compensating with this move though. Much better to drop at the start of the downswing than later on in the stroke.

IMO you are standing as far as possible from the ball at address while still being able to physically sole the club behind the ball. This is because you are using mid-body high hands with an extended left arm. No other position could get you further from the ball. At actual impact, your radius is much shorter because the hands are ahead, your left shoulder is higher and back, and your left wrist is flat. Your head and shoulders need to be much closer to the ball at setup. I believe there are various ways to do this: i) Keep the high hands but bend your left elbow until you are close enough. Extensor will snap left arm longer and taut as you start backswing ii) Lower your hands so that you can get closer. Many pros look this way. You will need a plane shift at some point in your swing. iii) Setup at impact fix with your hands ahead and left shoulder higher instead of at mid-body.

BTW - I may have no idea what I am talking about because I am pretty terrible at golf. However, I believe I suffered from having my head and shoulders too far from the ball for a long time. What's different though is my ability to compensate was much worse than yours. Rather than dropping at the start of the downswing or during the backswing, I would do my best to keep my head steady till the last possible minute. Then my subconscious would kick in at the last minute telling me I would miss the ball. The result would be a huge terrible flipping of the hands (which adds radius) or a jerky dipping of the right shoulder and head down just before impact causing a loss of balance, or both at the same time.

IMO - standing too far from the ball is a major cause of flipping. This is also why my practice swing looked so great but my actual shot was completely terrible. There was no subconscious kicking in during the practice swing telling me that I would miss the ball and pulling out compensations. Ball position relative to my head and shoulders at address is critical for me - I don't have good enough hand eye coordination to compensate for a bad position so I need to get it perfect before I start the stroke.

Where is the "lag"?
Good swing other than needing "lag" on the top and sustaining it coming around.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the "LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.
