I'd like to share some good news with all of you. Since buying the yellow book a year ago and regularly visiting this forum, I have dropped my index from 10 to 8. Last weekend I shot 79 in the final round of our club championship playing in gale force winds to win by 12 strokes...My first win in gross. How sweet to find my name printed alongside others in the clubhouse..
Plgolfer,
Congratulations on winning the club championship. You should be very proud. I think the successes of the students and forum members of Lynn Blake golf is one of the many things that keep this site so succesful. I look forward to hearing of your defense next year.... Until then keep studying and learning.

plgolfer, the fear of hitting the ball right with a turned left wrist proved to be my biggest hurdle to overcome--it just didn't feel or look right. But, just like you said, turn the hips and let it go!
Yes for sure, one feels quite uneasy doing that. What helped me was doing the swing in very slow motion and noticing how the clubhead wants to return square if you will allow your hips to open. Still every now and then, I do not feel comfortable, but the good results are there and it does look like magic for me until now.
