It all started last week where I had a Ah ha moment at the range. Using my forearm (wrist to elbow stump)with some extensor action in addition to my right shoulder turn. They both work in tandem and the glue is Extensor action which connects the two and also prevents any laziness in my pivot.
I finally played on Thursday with pull hooks, so I messed around a bit and towards the end of the round was hitting quality shots. I took this into Friday's round and amazed myself with my lowest score ever!!!!. My friend never saw me play this well and said that the scary thing about it is that I could have had a lower score if I made a few more birdies. I only birdied one hole.

I've experienced the same this fall. In the club championship I shot my personal low score, 76, like you.
The great thing about TGM and forums like Lynns and Brians is, you can read the book and sit at your computer and actually become a better player by letting the concepts of TGM into your brain. Then swing (or hit) a club or dowel and let mechanics develop into feels. Then when you get to the practiceground you'll experience that the concepts fall into place and you start hitting better shots, crisper impact, longer and straighter drives, getting more imagination in the short game with a wider range of shots......and all this will show in your scores, and suddenly you'll shoot a career low
This approach to golf is certainly fitting me as a familyfather with small kids and a long way to the course, but it's probably not for anyone....
I'm sure you and me and a lot of other guys around here will experience more career lows in the near future. A round in par is my next BIG goal......happy shooting everyone.

Congratulations on a great round, Rich. You've worked hard, paid some serious 'dues' and deserve this success!
It seems like yesterday we were hunkered down in the winter cold and wet in The Swamp makin' it happen. But it was just another Spring day for a New Yorker. Check out our respective dress in Rich's avatar!
