The RFP is hurting an old injury in my upper arm. Can't do it no longer. Yoda please help. I think I need to take away with the shoulders but make sure the package goes up and not around and inside. Coming down I will be pulling that left arm............Suggestions.........thank rich

Use the Lagging Clubhead Takeaway technique. Your Pivot Motion will Transport the Arms in Start Up with the Left Wrist Bent (perhaps even increasing a bit) and the Right Wrist Flat. The Clubshaft will continue to point at the Straight Plane Line. The Wrists will then gradually assume their Impact aligments -- Left Wrist Flat and Right Wrist Bent -- as the Backstroke progresses to the Top.
Regarding 'pulling that left arm,' make sure that any pulling is being led by the Body Turn. Unless this is done, your arms will outrace the body, and the Shot will be lost.
I looked at the video at our class, and noticed that I wasn't at impact fix when doing the RFP. So maybe I was overextending the move. I will try again tomorrow. The hardest thing is getting that heel of the righ hand out in front. It feels when I do it I keep the palm facing up and then I say to my self now what. There is a fine line with the right palm and incorporating the swivel with the left?????
I would highly reccomend Brian Manzella's Right Forearm Pickup Vs Shoulder takeaway video. I think its about 15min long and he has it priced at like $8.00 or something like that.
AWSEOME AWESOME INFO
He shows the right forearm pick, the true shoulder turn takeaway, and something that is in between the two.
