I had sent this as a PM to Yoda and he asked me to post it so here it is (I just hope my golfing buddy doesn't login and see it!! -- I gave him the URL but not sure if he has created an account yet)

Yoda, just wanted to send you a quick update. My wife thought I was crazy, but I went out yesterday (for just the 3rd time this year) and played in 30+ MPH winds (same storm that went through Georgia on Friday and Saturday). I didn't score that great but I was striking the ball the best I ever have. I "nuked" several greens which is totally new for me (usually I am short of the green, but never past the green). I haven't gotten used to the new distance...especially with the short irons.
The other unusual thing was I only lost 1 ball (I usually go through quite a few in a round). The ball I lost was on a tight fairway with houses lined down the left side and the wind was blowing left to right. I started the ball down the right side and the wind pushed it OB.
The best thing about yesterday was on the back 9 I played my regular golfing buddy in match play. I outdrove him on a couple of holes (a alltime first for me!), and I beat him in the match!
Definitely getting excited about the upcoming season!!
Congratulations and thanks for posting ---all of us waiting for the snow to melt are living vicariously through you! Keep it going and have a great year. Dave
Great Keith, and I switched to a "Swinger". I am starting to hear "Click" at the range. They have mats, so click is sweet. My drives are going great.
I use the "frisbee" flat left wrist in left going up and as I come down I make sure my hips first then the left shoulder up, back and in. I feel the right hand turning over............PP#3......................
If I reserve a foursome at the Bethpage Black this year, anyone that wants to play will have 7 days advanced notice............
Painter..... at least you're fessing up now and not such a sandbagger. You know they have a plaque next to the practice bunker at Marietta. "krpainter holed out from this bunker." I tried to hit out of that oatmeal for a half hour and got maybe 4 balls on the green. I can't believe you holed out from that deathtrap.
Charlie, luck and good instruction have more to do with holing out from that bunker than skill!
You getting out this week to play? Gonna be nice in the mid-atlantic area for the next couple of days. I am going to take advantage of the nice weather tomorrow afternoon.
Dave/Rich, thanks for the kind replies! Rich, what made you decide to switch to a "swinger"? Were you just having more success with it? Are you swinging with every club or just the driver?

Keith...... I'm hitting the course 8:15 AM tomorrow morning. Nobody is working in PA tomorrow (75*, sunny and winds 5-10 mph). When I got a confirm of the weather for Wednesday on Monday morning, I had to call 4 courses to get a decent tee time. Everybody's booked up.
Seriously, I dare say I'm pretty darn good out of the traps on the daily fees courses I play. I felt like an idiot flogging away in the Marietta deathbunker. You did real good.
It's Masters Week, the weather is finally here, I'm gonna spank my golf partners tomorrow morning........... life is good.
