I picked up from one of the post
"Hitters set up with the face more and more closed the longer the shot to compensate for this laying back. On the other hand swingers who use horizontal hinging set up with the face more and more open the longer the shot to compesate for the closing through impact"
Now the question is
I came across a very good player, and a lot of people was saying that he has a funny swing. After I talked to him, his swing is more like a hitter, where a look of people out there are familiar with swinger’s swing only.
Further to the Q & A, I had confirmed that he has got a hitter swing. The question is
When he is hitting his 3 & 4 iron, he got very low ball flight. Where he wants to have a higher ball flight in order to land the ball better. (Bit wish to keep the distance as well)
Does it mean that if he is trying to fade the ball, he can have a higher ball flight? (lose of distance is the trade off)
If he wishes to fade the ball, since he is using hitting procedure, then he would have to do exactly opposite to a swing. [Where by placing the ball further back he is hook] and by [placing the ball forward he will cut.] (He hasn’t got an answer, as most of the tips on the market are addressing swinger and not hitter)
He did mention about the pushing it to the right issue when he is trying to have a higher ball flight. I believe is the stuff I mentioned in the above paragraph (The Club lay back compensation)
What would be the idea way to help him to land the ball better, at the same time to maintain the distance?
Again – the person have the question is a very very good player, so he can swing like a machine.
