Crowding the ball
I was watching Teds swing again, and noticed he was standing quite a bit further from the ball with his wedge than I do. I had another person tell me during the Bash at the beach that I seem to crowd the ball. What are some potential problems one could encounter if you stand to close to the ball at address? The biggest thing I am working on currently is not getting under plane on my backswing.

If you get too crowded it is quite difficult to be on plane and still be able to get to both arms straight/follow through. You are forced to either collapse (chicken wing and/or left wrist bend) as well as not being able to allow rotation/swivel past impact. Nearly impossible to hit a draw from such a position. You will notice that players who stand very close to the ball generally hit a fade for this reason.

In Ted's case, his steep plane angle would result in pulls if he were to crowd the ball too much. His outstanding extension, as well as standing a touch farther away from the ball, counter acts this possibility nicely in great balance.
