Gary Edwin
Hi,

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with Gary Edwin "right-sided swing" ( teacher of Rod Pampling, Peter Senior, Peter Lonard). http://www.garyedwingolf.com.au/coaches_corner.asp

I have been using various 'hitter's techniques' from this website with some success. However, recently I decided to see an instructor from the Gary Edwin's school (there is no TGM instructors in this part of the world). I am wondering if I should continue with hitter's technique or look at swinger's. The Gary Edwin swing seems to start from a impact fix position and has a very short backswing. Can someone confirm that I can continue applying hitter's technique? Thanks.

If you are interested in GE stuff hit up the golf school forum on Iseekgolf.com where I have some very well versed fellows on the subject and taught a few of them within TGM boundaries too.
(not pinching bodies here, just saving a LOT of doubling up on a troublesome topic haha).

Many of them fall into ALMOST a right arm swing.

However GEs pattern does struggle with clubhead throwaway and a mix too of hitting and swinging components which we all know is not ideal.

Ask any of thier students of course and its the swing of the future. Hmmm.

Thanks golfguru for the pointer to the website! Interersting discussions there. It looks like there are elements of both swinging and hitting.

Thanks comdpa. I found your video @ iseekgolf. It's great. Nice to know there is a TGM expert in Singapore.

Guru has done a fantastic job with iSeek - not only with the instruction and equipment articles but also the day-to-day teachings via the forum there. There have been many an eye opened to G.O.L.F. and the posters there are extremely interested in the Machine now. It's been fun watching it grow from people who termed it "snake oil" to now having most discussion based in it.

Iseeks golf school area is not a "hard core" TGM forum and as such I have had a few TGMers say that its not a good idea to dumb it down to the masses. I thik we all know that the detail is why this stuff works The iseek forum is deisgned to do no more than intro people to the roadmap of the truth.

However as Matt says above we are making the most progress that has ever been PUBLICLY made (as there have been some real trail blazers down here over the last 20 years)with a an audience of now over 40,000 per fortnight getting the newsletters. We are bigger than Golf Digest and Golf Australia magazines put together.

Yoda and Brian are working (hint hint) on an article for us and given Martees long note yesterday I hope this shows that we do try to pull together at times Chuck is already up in lights there.

Anyway there is also a new OEM testing section about to come to life on the site that you will all find interesting (yep you can even hear the clubs being hit) and I will let you know when that happens.
