Hi guys!
I am new here in this forum! I am German and can`t speak English so well. So don` t complain about writing mistakes or something else, please. But you can tell me to notice them, if you want. Perhaps you had the topic already, please don`t complain. I read a few threads already but it took very long for me to read them.
I bought the book TGM, but I found it to difficult to read. Moreover I read the Swing like a Pro.
Because this is a very technical forum, I want to ask you a difficult question: the transition.
A friend of mine had a Clubheadspeed of 87mph, not very much. Nevertheless he had a good swing with not the best lag, but OK. He tried to get more Clubheadspeed and tried a few swing changes. Then he integrate the transition, suddenly his Clubheadspeed went up to 100mph.
But what is the transition? How can you improve and develop it?
I have a bit distance “problem”, only Clubheadspeed of 100mph. My swing was until now without a transition. Now he called me and I want to integrate the transition, too. For me it is a shift of the hip and the weight to the left short before finishing the backswing! Without moving the knees, perhaps only towards the ball! But the “bad” other thing: When I shift to the left, my stomach turns away from the ball, so my hip turn in the backswing gets bigger and the x-factor gets smaller. Then in the Downswing I turn my hips as fast as they go, but I worry about letting the shoulder square or only a bit open. Is this correct?
What does the TGM say about it?
I am looking forward to your replies
