What is The Golfing Machine?
Is it a system? Well yeah . . . it is. But what is a "system?" Mr. Kelley defined his terminology in the standard dictionary. I'm to lazy to go get the book so here's what "system" is defined as on Dictionary.com (a wonderful website).
System - a. An organized set of interrelated ideas or principles b. An organized and coordinated method; a procedure.
Hmmmmmmmmm . . . There's that little word that many teachers/AI's have a bit of trouble reconciling. So what the heck is "method." Back to Dictionary.com . . .
Method - 1. A means or manner of procedure, especially a regular and systematic way of accomplishing something 2. Orderly arrangement of parts or steps to accomplish an end.
3. The procedures and techniques characteristic of a particular discipline or field of knowledge.
Method don't sound too awful bad to me. . . let's dig deeper.

What "System" did Mr. Kelley leave us with?
That's right! The Star System Triad . . . sounds like something off of Battle Star Galactica or some sort of tire tread technology. What the hell is the Star System Triad? Well it's mentioned early in the Preface . . . but you know ole Mr. K, he don't make it easy (which ain't necessarily a bad thing).

So the Star System Triad is for this?

Naw man! It's for people shaped (beer guzzlin' chicken eatin') golfers like this . . .

Here's where the Star System Triad first appears . . . there we go with that word again system . . .

It’s not instant perfection but continuous progress toward a practical goal – master of the STAR SYSTEM TRIAD: the Three Imperatives (2-0) applying the Three Functions (1-L-A/B/C) through the Three Stations (12-3) – which should be sought.

Alrighty then within the Star "SYSTEM" you got your Three Imperatives, your Three Functions applied through your Three Stations. Did Mr. Kelley have something for the number 3? Let us move on to what these am.

Three!!!! It's the Magic Number . . .
Now get your mind outta the gutter . . . I ain't talking about your nasty old fantasies with your old lady and what's her name with the tatoo on her butt from down by pookie'n'em's house down the road. You do that on your time.

We're talkin' about the Triad (where I actually live beautiful Piedmont Triad NC). The Star System Triad. We're off to 2-0, 1-L A,B, and 12-3 like Mr. K done told us to.

2-0 GENERAL To Star System Golfers the letters G.O.L.F. instantly separate this system from other systems. Which systems only teach GOLF (without the periods). It has also been given the following application.

B. The Three Basic Imperatives are:
1. A “Flat” Left Wrist
2. A Clubhead Lag Pressure Point
3. A straight Plane Line

So there you have the 3 Imperatives that we have all come to know and love, but can you execute 'em? Huh . . . can you PUNK?

Imperative? Ok . . . Imperative to doin' what?
Imperative to what?

Hittin' that old pop-up drive you hit that put a boo-boo mark on your big ass driver the size of Gremlin on the first tee with all them fools that you think are paying attention you? You remember . . .

Nope. Per 2-0 . . .

Imperative to . . .

GEOMETRICALLY ORIENTED LINEAR FORCE

Principles are simple – their applications get complicated.

1. The Principle of Golf is the “Line of Compression.”

2. The Mechanics of Golf is the production and manipulation of the “Line of Compression.”

3. Precision is recognizing and reconciling minute differentiations.

So what is the Line of Compression hmmmmmm?

LINE OF COMPRESSION Example – bullet hole through a baseball
Mechanical – the line through center of that area from which material flows when displaced by a compressing force.
Golf – The direction of the Impact Force, as related to the various centerlines, for determining Ball Behavior

Got that? Not to difficult. But now how do we tend to its "production and manipulation?"

Per 2-M-1 BASIC POWER, . Power is the total effective Force that is impinged on the Ball – which is related to the Angular Momentum of the Clubhead Mass, as well as to the prestressed Clubshaft (6-C-2) and the sustaining or driving actions of the above mentioned Thrust – all of which contribute resistance to Impact Deceleration (2-E).

If the Principle of Golf is the Line of Compression . . . the SECRET of Golf is . . .
