Instructors

Chuck Evans, G.S.E.D.

Since 1975, Chuck has established his reputation as one of the nation's premier golf teaching professionals. He has worked individually with thousands of players from novice to Tour Professional and taught countless others in group presentations, including more than 200,000 during a two-year tour as Director of Instruction with the United States Golf Institute. An 'Instructor's Instructor,' Chuck has conducted numerous workshops, seminars, and education classes for the PGA, LPGA, and European PGA. He is author of the new book How To Build YOUR Golf Swing and his two-volume video series has sold more than 10,000 copies. Chuck's revolutionary teaching approach is grounded in his 21-year study of The Golfing Machine, Homer Kelley's definitive work on the science and procedure of all golf strokes. In 1995, he was awarded the designation Doctorate, Golf Stroke Engineering, one of only 21 professionals to earn that honor since its inception in 1979. Chuck's website offers valuable information for golfers of all levels and may be accessed at www.chuckevansgolf.com/forum.

Yoda, G.S.E.D.

In the summer of 1980, Yoda was an avid amateur golfer who had hit the wall in his study of The Golfing Machine. His only recourse was to telephone the author, Homer Kelley himself. Thus began the student-teacher relationship that was to last until Mr. Kelley's death in February 1983. Many more calls followed over the next 18 months, with Homer patiently explaining the science and principles behind his great work, and Yoda eagerly absorbing his lessons. The instruction reached its pinnacle in January 1982 when Homer invited Yoda to attend his weeklong Golf Stroke Engineering Master class. The invitation was extended to a select group of only five -- one each from the North, South, East, West and Midwest. It was to be the second of only three Master classes Mr. Kelley lived to conduct, and Yoda was one of only twelve to graduate from these classes. In the 32 months following his Master Instructor designation -- and while continuing his financial business -- Yoda conducted more than forty golf schools in six states. He personally taught more than 600 students and several thousand more in promotional seminars. He also individually trained 28 PGA professionals in the same system Homer had taught him. In October 1984, though his golf business was successful by any definition, he returned full-time to his financial world. Twenty years later, Yoda has returned as an authoritative voice of The Golfing Machine. Other than the work of Homer Kelley himself, his body of work since January 10, 2004, is unprecedented in the history of The Golfing Machine. Carey G. Mumford

For the past 23 years, Carey Mumford has used his energy and background to encourage and support the competence of those who manage, teach and play the game of golf. Prior to that time, he was involved with services to people, first through hospital chaplaincy and then in counseling and coaching for human resource development. His devotion to that challenge has been constant.

During the several years he gave to human resource development for a major Sunbelt resort/recreation developer, he was often sought out by golf professionals, club managers and others associated with the game, for help with their various tasks. His understanding of human behavior, self-management and stress reduction were most welcome among the resources they wanted.

That led to an invitation from the PGA of America, as they began their advanced education program, to serve on the faculty for the duration of the school. In addition, he has conducted playing and teaching clinics and workshops across the country and in Canada, and regularly coaches amateur and professional players, assisting them with the mental skills that influence building effective habits and playing the game.
He also assists corporate groups with both systems and human resource issues, concerns and developmental needs.

In their special issue on the mental game in 1990, Golf Magazine recognized him among the top dozen golf psychologists in the country, and Golf World Magazine devoted two pages to his second book (The Double Connexion) in the Pro-Report section of their June 19, 1992 issue.
His unique approach to the mental game has earned wide acceptance among golf professionals, largely because it goes beyond "what" ought to happen and shows "how" it is implemented and used by any player or instructor. Unnecessary complications are removed in the process by integrating principles of behavior, psychology and physiology. Thus teachers and players have "user-friendly" resources to reshape widely held, though misleading, notions that have unwittingly influenced players to "shoot themselves in the foot."

Two of the books he has written, GOLF'S BEST KEPT SECRET and THE DOUBLE CONNEXION, describe the context of "playing the game within yourself" and the natural principles and processes essential to balance and integrate mental and manual skills. That allows players to move naturally, and without hindrance, from the practice tee to the golf course. The applications to life and work are equally present also. It was the cross-currents of common denominators in these seemingly dissimilar arenas that stimulated both books. He has two other books, "The Putting Book," and "The Mental Game."

He has faced more than 22,000 of the Class A Member Professionals of the PGA, conducted in excess of 200 clinics for amateurs and professionals in 30 states and Canada, and worked individually with over 100 players on the PGA, LPGA, Seniors, Nike, TC Jordan, Hooters, Futures, and Mini Tours.

You bring your clubs, shoes, and desire. I will also request that you bring a tape which I will provide information on at a later date. The plan for the tape is it to be tour personal procedure, your swing; your drill. It will be your individualized plan for golf improvement. I will convert the tape into a DVD format which you will receive once you arrive home.

Other than the above, we’ll supply the rest!

Cancellations

A non-refundable $250 processing fee will be charged for termination requests prior to Friday, May 6th. Terminations after that date will be subject to the full fee.

Enrollment Procedure

Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis which is for both the Golf School and the Guesthouse. There is a limit of how many students we can fit into the classes. The order will be kept by when I receive your email that the check is in the mail or a request of a specific invoice.

For those who are looking to use the Guesthouse arrangement, when the Guesthouse becomes full, I will alert those who would like to use that option and we can communicate by seeing who is a single and speaking with them or we can discuss other options for rooms.

Please keep in mind that I am not in front of my computer all the time though sometimes this may seem the case.

Please send check or money order to:

Randy Sparks
179 Bonaire Blvd.
Destin, Florida 32550

Another payment option is via my paypal account I have setup. When you decide which one of the three arrangements you would like, please email me and I will email back a payment invoice. Paypal is not necessarily my favorite.
