Left arm like a rope/Tomasello
I was spending some time in The Gallery and was watching some of the Tomasello videos (sorry if I misspelled). In one of them, he substitutes a rope for his left arm and shows how the right arm controls the swing. Is this the feel or image I should be trying to attain? A (basically) limp left arm with the right controlling its' movement? I can see where this would help the club to seek an inline condition with the left arm and allow the wrist to act more as the 'swingle'.

Is he demonstrating extensor action there...from memory he is...

The right arm does not control the swing...

Also depends if you are a hitter or a swinger.

Yes, Tommy controls both swinging and hitting with the right forearm. If you don't believe me...checkout my thread, "My Three Day School with Tomasello" where he talks about how the right forearm controls the stroke per 7-3.

Check out Lynn's swing/hit demostration clip. It might be the very first one he posted. I prefer a left arm flail.

Here it is: http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/v...se_images&g=13

Thanks asleep (not 'at the wheel' - but I like their music)

Yoda talks about the left arm being a piece of string- a noodle. This is not a bad thing, NOR does that make the left arm inactive or with nothing to do. Attached to that arm is the Left Arm Flying Wedge- #2 and #3 Accumulators -which means it has an inline condition that needs to be achieve, and it is part of the Master Accumulator- Number four. It is what Extensor Action is applied to. It is attached to the ‘center’ of the swing- the left shoulder. The useless, left arm really has a whole lot of function. It shouldn’t be taken so lightly.

A Hitter will drive it out and a Swinger with throw it out.

Sure.

I've been searching through and reading a lot of the older threads---trying to pick some of this stuff up. Looks like the site was updated at some point and some of the video/picture links died. When I find a dead link I've been posting an active link to the referenced material.

If you or Admin want to un-clutter the threads, feel free to update your link and I'll delete my posts or Admin is welcome to delete them as they see fit.

Thanks for all the good info.
