The following just crossed my mind. Obvious, but never thought of it before:
For a few year now I have adoped what many have written; Golf is really 5 gives: Long game, short game, putting, mental game and strategy/course management.
Of course there is more to golf.
The most obvious would 6th game - at leasts to the beginner - would be the "material" game, i.e. making sure you have equipment that brings out the best in every golfer. This is unfortunately where most golfers spend a out-of-proportion resource.
But then there's the fitness thing. A lot goes in here. Balance, flexibility, strength, stamina, water intake, nutrition etc.
If it matters at all; What label would you give to this 7th game - or would you say it again has to be divided in a few different (sub)"games". Is fitness the adequate word? Help me out here.
"Fit for golf" actually sounds just right, but I am not sure that "the fitness game" does.
