Would some of you give your description of your mechanics, and FEEL, of executing the ROPE HANDLE SWINGING-DRAG(LAG)-TAKEAWAY.
Do you start from Classic Mid-body , or from Fix? Do you use a RIGHT FOREARM PICK-UP and blend this in with the drag, or do you use a SHOULDER TURN TAKEAWAY? Do you use STANDARD, SINGLE, OR DOUBLE WRIST ACTION? When do you FEEL your Lag Pressure LOAD on the #3 Pressure Point.
Coming Down... Do you FEEL the Right Shoulder Throw, then Left Wrist Throw, or something else?
Karate chop or hammer fist punch along the plane line....
I got the chop . ..
But what is a "hammer fist punch?" I have heard of this one move . . . well let's not go there.
Anyway that sounds interesting could you expand on the description of the "hammer fist punch?" It does conjure up an image that I think would be helpful . . . but I just want to make sure that I'm smellin' you correctly.

Let some SWINGERS chime in!!!
When I use a lag takeaway I start at mid body and 'feel' that the shaft stays 'up the inside' of my right forearm. A very right sided feel starting back. Like I hit the ball with the entire 'inside' of the forearm from wrist to elbow. A very clear feel of float loading and shoulder turn throw to 'sling' the club away from the body.

Hammer fist punch - punch with the heel of the right hand, bent right wrist
Head of the hammer - tip of the right index finger in its 'trigger' position... sshhhh.... a secret
I know NOTHING!!!!!
EdZ . . . so . . . one would drag the butt of the hammer the heel of the right hand down and then slam the nail with the tip of the right index finger in its "trigger" position?

Thanks man!
Its exactly the same as the karate chop but with a closed or compacted fist - a strike made with the heel of the hand.... Its common usage in fighting is that of hitting the ear and jaw area....
You can see alot of similarities between different striking techniques found in martial arts and golf....
Oh and the release back to vertical - is just like a backhand strike....

Im not too sure...it sure looks mean though ...lol
This is a backfist strike here ...
But instead of hitting woman, our job is to hit the vertical plane of the hinge action. So coming down its like a hammer fist punch and then depending when you want to release - it then becomes a backfist strike.....where you hit with the back of a flat left wrist .... imagine that ...lol
