hi, I'm a newbie to TGM and are really confused after read through this great forum. could someone please clarify below to me:
regarding hinge, somewhere in this forum, someone quoted that els as a swinger, shapes the ball by playing around with its position. for a fade, he places the ball about 2 inches back in his stance (from normal), aligns his body left of the target and swings down his body line.
so: els - swinger - HH - ball move back - fade, correct?
I was watching Golf channel last night, I heard tiger is saying that he moves ball forward one ball length for a fade, ball back one ball length for a draw.
HH with Centrigual Force (Swinger) used to square the clubhead you would move the ball forward for a draw- since the clubface will be closing. Back for fade since the clubhead will be still open.
AH (Hitter or hands manipulated swinger)- forward to fade the ball since the clubface will be very open and back for a draw since the clubface will be not as open.
I have not be very good at drawing the ball with an Angled Hinge action.
HH with Centrigual Force (Swinger) used to square the clubhead you would move the ball forward for a draw- since the clubface will be closing. Back for fade since the clubhead will be still open.
...and change your Plane Line accordingly.
IMO, Tiger: Swinger with longer clubs, Hitter with shorter clubs.

should we say that: as a amateur, it's easier if we just use Hinge action to shape the ball, use HH if want draw, use AH if want fade. don't play with the ball position.
