Look in the book 3-F-5. You'll see the impact fix as part of the address routine. That part is when you make sure about all your alignments are correct for impact (clubface to plane line, grip to clubface, hands to ball, plane angle, pressure points, right forearm position). In the video where he's hitting a driver with the winter clothes on, that's what Yoda's talking about making sure about every time before he hits. From there, you have the option of moving your hands to midbody in the "adjusted address" position. That is the more traditional address (butt of club pointing to your navel). For swingers, that is good, because you can do a forward press and start your club with some momentum without a lot of tension in your arms. For the hitter, the impact fix is a good starting position, I think because you just take the whole package to the top and back downplane, maintaining the original alignments. It's up to you what is more advantageous. If you maintain the three imperatives with your midbody hands, do that. If you don't, try the impact fix as your address position. rchang72 View Public Profile Send a private message to rchang72 Find all posts by rchang72
