For hitters, you need to stay ahead of centrifugal force, any rotation produces centrifugal force.

For the shorter clubs (irons), it is possible to have some rotation and yet hit fairly decent shots.

For the longer clubs, this is the acid test of whether you are hitting it correctly or not.
