Are the hands set up bent right/flat left as one would set up for a chip shot, and then the hands alignment maintained the same from address through impact? Or does the hitter set up with a bent left flat right and then then attain the impact position of the hands sometime during the swing (this is what Lynn Blake looks to be doing in the gallery vids where it is clear he is hitting). Preferred would be the former with the left wrist flat and right wrist bent as they in their wedge alignment and at impact fix. 2) At transition, how do the hips move? Is it a purely lateral "bump." Is there a rotational dimension to the initial move of the hips? I've read some things about "cross-line" hip action but I'm not clear what that means. Cross-line is slanted to the plane line (\, though not as steep), as opposed to parallel to the plane line (-). 3) Do hitters need to make any special modifications to the grip? I am starting to transition to hitting because it just comes so much more naturally to me than swinging but I'm wondering if I need to make some sort of grip adjustment (right now I use a very neutral grip) to make it work. Use 10-2-B, Strong Single Action. The big difference is the clubshaft lies in the cup of the right hand and under the left heel pad.
