I believe that there is a point in time if a player with good technique desires to hit the ball further that weight training should be explored.
This was the case with
Camilio Villegas who averaged only 280 plus yards when entering college. After a dedicated season of weights, he tacked on almost 20 yards to his drives and developed into the big hitter that he is today.
