i have a question i understand hitting and swinging pretty well and practice both, thanks for all the information. I printed out one of your post on hitting vs. swinging and it opened my eyes to the differences. I understand that hitting is a simataneous release and swinging uses a sequenced release but i was watching a ben doyle tape where he is teaching steve elkington and steve asked a question about why tom watson is so good even though he seems to release a little early . ben mentions that even though he is a swinger he uses a simataneous release does this sound right . i always thought that the release where basically programmed in becuse of the attitude of your hands approaching impact. maybe im not real clear on the two releases. if you could clarifiy the releases i would appreciate it thanks alot aaron

There is a difference between the Sequenced Release (of the #2 and #3 Accumulators per 4-D-0) and the Sweep Release (10-24-C) which can be either Sequenced or Simultaneous. I know Watson uses the Sweep Release. It may or may not be a Sequenced Release. I'd have to get photos and look. Anyway, the 'early' Release you mention refers to the Sweep characteristic of the Downstroke, not its Sequence.
