Borax la Bamba
Well, I matched my career best today at an interesting course in Cal City known as Tierra del Sol. It is interesting because most of the greens are highly elevated to prevent borax poisening. The course is not very far from Boron where the world's largest borax mine is located (don't I play in interesting places - aren't you glad you don't ).

I shot a 74 (39 / 35) with 2 doubles (yes, 2 doubles ). I did have 4 birds though. I also just missed a 15-foot eagle putt on a 500 yard par 5. That is the longest par 5 I have ever reached in two (drive was around 270 which left me with 230 to a long, skinny elevated green). I bounced it on with a 3W to 15'. The course is a little short at 6310, but a career round still feels good (it was playing a little longer than normal since they hadn't cut the dandelions...woops fairways in awhile). I also lipped out a couple other birdie putts as well. It could have been better (still only 28 putts so I can't complain).

So, you ask, what was my secret? Feel the power of PP3! I finally felt some really good PP3 feedback on the range and carried it pretty well throughout the day. Not perfectly (drives were a little clanky only averaging ~250ish), but good enough. Oh, I forgot to mention that in the past couple of weeks I seem to have added 20 yards or so on my tee shots (LAG BABY ). It is getting scary out here folks...
