Turn and Roll
Jerry,

There isn't a specific location for intentionally turning your left hand to the plane, but for swinging, it's usually done somewhere between startup 8-4 and the backstroke 8-5, but not necessarily restricted to this area.

It is always automatically turning on the backstroke and always rolling on the downstroke.

4-D-0 "AS THE VERTICAL WRIST MOVES TO THE RIGHT DURING THE BACKSTROKE IT IS TURNING - OPENING TO THE FLIGHT LINE - BUT IS NOT TURNED. MOVING TO THE LEFT DURING THE DOWNSTROKE, IT IS ROLLING - CLOSING TO THE FLIGHT LINE - BUT IS NOT ROLLED. WHEN THE LEFT WRIST LEAVES ITS VERTICAL POSITION WITH A WRIST ROTATION, IT IS SWIVELING - NOT HINGING"

Maybe we should all prefix our quotes with the edition we are referring to, else those who don't even own a copy of the Book will be really confused. What do you think?
