With the L hand, shaft seems to lay just about under the crease where the fingers meet the palm--and of course, under the pad. In the R hand, shaft is laying just about across the same crease--where the fingers join the top of the palm, R thumb over the shaft on the fore side, 'bout 10:30 as you said.
Or, do you feel the R hand accomodates the shaft further past that crease and more in the palm?
