The only way I can get this feeling is if I wrap the index finger of the right hand around the club like John Daly were it looks like a trigger finger. Is this okay to do this? Thanks Tim Yes, certainly using a 'trigger' can be a very good thing. Very useful to use when chipping. The bending left arm is often a flexibility issue, trying to get back farther than your shoulder turn can turn by letting your arms move on their own towards the last part of the backswing. Very common. Extensor action is absolutely something to focus on to resolve this and it can be helpful to focus on your right elbow bend (forearm to upper arm angle) not being more than 90 degrees. The 'swing extender' is a great way to get this feel, but there are many others, including just using a childs pool float 'wing' to help keep you from breaking that right elbow too much. You'll find a focus on the right side more beneficial than trying to force your left arm straight on its own, which does little but add too much tension. Also, worth checking that your chin isn't buried down into your chest at address, which can stop your shoulder turn early. Make sure you are bending from the hip joints, and not the waist if this is the case. __________________ "Support the On Plane Swinging Force in Balance" "we have no friends, we have no enemies, we have only teachers" Simplicity buffs, see 5-0, 1-L, 2-0 A and B 10-2-B, 4-D, 6B-1D, 6-B-3-0-1, 6-C-1, 6-E-2 EdZ View Public Profile Send a private message to EdZ Find all posts by EdZ
