That you can both over accelerate, leading to throw away, and under accelerate (quit), leading to throw away.

That hand speed and loading action have a relationship that must be understood for proper clubhead control.

Swingers always hang on the fringe of total throwaway in their stroke. They have to. When accumulators 2 ,3 and 4 are release it is a throw-OUT. You have to crank it up and throw-out the clubhead via the power package.
This is the big difference between Hitting and Swinging. Hitters drive the entire power package- at the same time- through the ball from behind the shaft while swingers flirt with throwaway with their power package as the package release one after the other.
What prevents bad throwaway for a Swinger? The FLAT left wrist/hand swivel and roll. Without a properly Educated Left hand- hacker throwaway is inevitable.

Isn't hand speed a good thing if we can sustain the lag?

You are so right, Mike. Swingers have to understand the manipulation of centrifugal force whilst the hitting breed must learn to stay ahead of it. Good to see you posting.
