Right elbow pain for a hitter usually means you’re swinging the right forearm and not thrusting it. I used to have this problem. What I did was focus on pushing the entire left arm and club, not just he club. You kind-of start with the thought that the center is the left shoulder.

Jimbo...
I use a right arm swinging motion and 3 barrel hitting a la Tom Tomasello....use weighted clubs to practice with too and have no right elbow pain, none...zipOOOOO No PAIN. I always warm up before swinging with full speed/power. It's a shame TGM Hitters want to blame right arm swinging for ANY elbow pain...what nonsense.

“So, if there is a twinge in the elbow, you are Swinging the Right Arm.”
I love the Tom Tomasello stuff, thanks for the CD. I think the number one problem with the way you discuses it is just one of semantics. Whenever I read your posts anytime you say “right arm swing” I translate to “swinging with added right forearm”. Then it all makes perfect sense to me.
BTW, when I said I had this problem, I wasn’t lying.

Jimbo…[/QUOTE)
First, the right forearm is not added....it controls the swing.
Second, you said you had pain in your right elbow, you didn't say you felt a twinge in your elbow....what is it?
Third, I would stop swinging a club until the pain is completely gone. Then re-watch the Tomasello videos especially the Lee Dietrick videos. If you continue with the right arm full Power swing then I would suggest you do continuous practice swings 5 to 10 in one or two sets before hitting a ball on the ground (don't do these swings at full power either). This will warm up the muscles in right forearm and upper arm. Remember the motion is down and out. I have heard the only way you can injury the right arm and/or elbow is to hit up on the ball. See 1-L in the book about hitting down and out.
I recommend getting Mark Evershed's book "The Golf Solution" if you want to learn Tomasello's approach in a book/text format....Mark's book is the best I've seen on the market in the way it integrates instruction with teaching aids...here are a couple excerpts from Mark's book.
The Educated Hands section of the book...
WHEN I REFER TO "HANDS" I INCLUDE THE HANDS, WRISTS AND "FOREARMS".
FACTS
#2. THE RIGHT HAND IS THE "MASTER CONTROLLER" OF THE GOLF SWING...
Mark breaks up his book into six well organized sections....
1) Quiet Body
2) Educated Hands
3) Square Stance and Alignment
4) On-Plane Arms
5) Sequence
6) Ball Position
Mark recently won a teaching award in Canada...I don't think you win awards by teaching golfers a golf stroke that will create physical injury and Mark teaches a right arm based swinging motion a la Tom Tomasello. He mentions Tom a lot in his videos.

I believe I have got it. Its all in the Rhythm and rechecked and rechecked my alignments and Support once more until I could really really Execute One handed shots like I do with two.
Be Deliberate, Heavy.
Thank You Masters for providing the Elbow Grease.
