Thank you all
Dear Yoda, and others

I'd like to share some good news with all of you. Since buying the yellow book a year ago and regularly visiting this forum, I have dropped my index from 10 to 8. Last weekend I shot 79 in the final round of our club championship playing in gale force winds to win by 12 strokes...My first win in gross. How sweet to find my name printed alongside others in the clubhouse...Prior to this final round I had been practicing acquired motion with punch and keeping the clubhead below my hands just as in the video with Collin Neeman. (I must have watched these videos a few dozen times) I was deadly from 80 metres keeping the ball low. My distance off the tee is also getting better through better compression. 210metres two years ago; now 230-240metres.

When I was practicing acquired motion, I could definitely see my flat left wrist uncocking and approaching impact in its turned condition. It looked as if I would hit the ball to the right, but not quitting on the stroke and just allowing my left hip to open, ensured that the clubhead squared itself nicely. The contact with the ball felt so strong and produced a sound I've never heard before...Ball flight was authoritative...Overall my swing itself felt so pro like...especially in the follow through and finish...

Question. Is this feeling of opening the left hip, a pivot controlled swing, permitting horizontal hinge action of the left hand? I was more aware of (monitoring ?) what my left hip was doing rather than feeling horizontal hinge action with my left hand. I would like to monitor only my hands as recommended in TGM. My question is how? More axis tilt? Use aiming point? Others?
