Lesson with Yoda
Well, I did it. Drove 2 and 1/2 hours for my first lesson with Yoda, and it won't be my last! The best lesson that I have ever had...period.

It took at least three seconds for Yoda to spot what was wrong with my swing as I was hitting some pitch shots. Just as expected, I was flipping through the hitting area with a slight reverse roll of the wrist. We worked on some half swings to get the feel of the flat left wrist and horizontal hinging.

Next, we moved to the full swing where Yoda spotted that I was taking the club back too far inside with way too much bowing of the left wrist at the top. Once he got me in the proper position at the top, the swing was effortless for the rest of the lesson. For once in my life, it actually sounded like firecrackers were popping off when I hit the ball.

Some of the drills we worked on were: dowels, right forearm pickup, hammer drill (left wrist cock and uncocking on plane), and the correct movement of the hips and shoulders on the downswing.

Most impressive was Yoda's ability to spot a problem in my swing and then clearly communicate how to fix it. As we all know, good teachers can tell you what you are doing wrong. Outstanding teachers can actually tell you how to fix it. Yoda is an OUTSTANDING teacher!

Yoda, thanks for the lesson, it was worth every penny.

Save me a spot on the calendar in December.
