Tigers 3W to the 17th green on friday @ Baltusrol - PGA 2005. Yellow line is where the ball went.
1. Elbow plane or even hands-only plane
2. On elbow plane or close to it
3. On "under armpit line" here
4. Top. Turned shoulder plane?
5. Start down. Bob/Squat. Back to "under armpit"
6. Bob/Squat complete. Shift almost complete
7. Double-shift completed
8. Just past impact
9. Shaft perfectly parallell to to "under armpit" plane.
My amateur conclusion is:
- Classical double-shift with a bob or squat
- The amount of bob/squat is virtually equal to the difference between the "under armpit" line and the shaft line. Maybe if he went to single-shift he would not need the bob/squat.
Probably it is not a bob... Guess a bob is the head going UP and not DOWN.
Would have wanted to do more before posting, but bedtime. I am sure you'll take over. Curious about your remarks. I yet really did not figure out the story with the Turned Shoulder Plane v/s Turning Shoulder Planet v/s a line drawn under the armpit.
Hope further comments on this sequence clears the fog for some.
