There is no pressure point in or on the right elbow BUT... the driving and straighten of the right arm and elbow will be behind the three pressure points of the hands....and that is a wonderful thing to put onto the ball.

Very important to make sure your weight is slightly on your left side. Yes the dowel is very important. Also make sure you do not cock your right wrist and only bend it.

The Hitter's Dictum
Quote:
The Pivot -- specifically the Downstroke's Right Shoulder Turn as actuated by Hip Action -- Loads the Power Package for both Hitters and Swingers. The difference is that the Hitter's Drive Loading Loads the Right Elbow and the Swinger's Drag Loading Loads the Left Wrist. The Hitter's Load is against both Pressure Points #1 (the heel of the Right Hand against the Left Hand thumb) and #3 (the meaty part of the Right Forefinger). In most instances, the pressure is equally divided between the two, with #1 driving the Left Arm and #3 driving the Clubshaft. After the Pivot -- specifically the slow-moving Right Shoulder -- has done its work, the Right Elbow (actuated by the Right Triceps) drives both #1 and #3. Hence my Hitter's Dictum: "Hit the Ball with 'One and Three.'" |

Here is my vote for the #1 post on board. Great work :!: |
Yoda there was a recent post saying that when the swingers gyroscope is cranked via hip action that the right hand should be keep it's distance and relationship to the right shoulder before the throwout action. Would you agree?
