Observation- "Breakdown of left wrist"...
People always say "his left wrist keeps breaking down" or "that's a good grip, it will keep your left wrist from breaking down."

How about focusing on not beaking down your right wrist in putting?

It's a big deal (and the real deal too) in the full swing...especially in TGM. That's what Mark Evershed's whole teaching is based around...look at his logo for example.

Just thought of this tonight tinkering around...have never considered it before really in putting. Gonna try it out tomorrow.

The right wrist breaking down is the reason I went to left-hand-low putting. The breakdown in my stroke was so slight, I didn't realize I was doing it, but it was killing me on the greens.

Believe it or not, i putt with "frozen wrists."

I get into my address grip and after that, they never move. I would say my left wrist is bent and so is my right wrist, with it teedering TOWARDS flat, but still slightly bent.

Then i just rock it back and through tracing a straight plane line. I practice tracing a straight plane line with my plane lasers a lot with my putter. Its great practice

This thing is brilliant at teaching you to not break down and flip your wrists in the putting stroke. It is on loan at the moment to a real putting flipper and has showed him his nasty flipper move that he was not aware of. It is doing wonders for him and at $25 is a steal. I also do what Jim suggests " Practice with a plane laser". If you use the ClydeGuide and a plane laser you can not go far wrong.

At the Fed Ex i worked with a player on this exact thing. It appeared at first he was mixing an arm stroke and a shoulder stroke. Upon closer look his right wrist was breaking down.

We put a tee in his watch so that any movement in the forward wrist would result in the tee "poking" the back of his hand.

So if the best in the world do it, I am sure amateurs can as well.
