VERY late elbow fold, wrist cock
A few big issues have been solved, but still got more.
One really noticable big issue is this.
In my backswing I start out taking it back and cupping the right wtist as the first move back, so far so good. But from there untill my hands get past, not at but past, hip high, no wrist cocking or elbow bending is going on. when my hands are at nine oclock my club head is not even at ten oclock, To be precise it is at about 9:42. what issues might this cause, and how should I fix it.
Also, I read in hogans book how when he waggled he wanted his right elbow to touch his ribs, does this aid in the folding of the right elbow, and could someone elaborate on this move?

The move you describe sounds a bit like Nicklaus and his float loading action.
This can be very effective, however you must play a fade using that approach IMO, and generally you'd want a fairly steep plane angle.
You may want to check your right forearm position in a mirror, chances are it is too high at address (your right wrist is not 'level') or your shoulders are open.
Check your flying wedges and your wrist positions at impact fix.

Edz, I have a little right elbow bend, level wrist, and square shoulders but I actually think my little right elbow bend may be taken away in the initial stages of my back swing due to extensor action. I have worked on set up dilligently and it honestly is very good and by the book and that is probably why I am hitting it much better, now the swing fundamentals still have a lot of room for improvement and setting up wrong for five years may be a big cause of that. So how do you have extensor action but not take away the elbow bend?
oh, forgot to mention, my plane angle is very shallow. thanks for your response, I look forward to the next one

.................................................. ....
Sounds almost like a SNAP POWER PACKAGE LOAD, WHICH COULD BE COMBINED WITH A FLOAT LAG LOAD.
I think Bobby Clampett used to do something similar.
Really need to see some pictures to know more.

Check your right forearm is on plane and tracing the base of the planeline all the way to the parallel to the ground position .Keep pushing the right arm even though it is bending and carry on up plane .At some point on the way up you may want to cock your left wrist to match the right wrist bend.Check this in a mirror down the line, preferably in slow motion.

was messing around yesterday and was doing right arm only swings while holding it against my right side with my left arm. club head came more up. Think this might be a good drill to train that right arm?

From the way I understand your description NO.You would be better off practising EXTENSOR ACTION.If you have the book study 6-B-1-D.This needs to be applied to your chosen hinge action and will vary in feel depending on whether you are a swinger or a hitter.I would like to try to quote all the relevant sections but don't have time at the moment -hopefully friends are at hand
