You have a very good question here Upndownn...concerning the Start Down, Hip Action, and the Direction of THE MOVEMENT OF THE RIGHT SHOULDER... ESPECIALLY in how they may relate to the very commonly seen Over-the-top problem.
Mr. Kelley has the "cure" for this in the book... but it is a little hard to find.
Under 10-7-F "The cure is Pivot Correction." "See 9-1."
10-7-F and 10-7-H are Over-the-Top Plane Shifts... or shifts to a very steep plane.
In 9-1... it is probably often overlooked... but in 9-1-7, the Right Shoulder is still very near it's position at the Top. Only, the Hip Bump has occured here. The Hitter's bump will be more on the Angle of Approach(cross line), and the Swinger's will be Parallel to the Plane Line.
Then in 9-1-8... the Right Shoulder start's it's On Plane Motion--which would be towards the ball. The Swinger may actually use a Right Shoulder Throw here, to activate the PULL of the left arm.
I hope OTHERS will give their view on this!!!
